NEET Chapter-wise Weightage 2027, with 22 Years of PYQ Counts
All 79 chapters of the NEET syllabus, ranked by how many questions we expect each to carry. Next to every estimate is the real number of questions the chapter has had: in all 22 papers from 2005 to 2026, and in the last five (2022–2026).
The weightage and expected questions are NEET MIND's estimates, not official figures. The question counts are exact counts from our bank of 3,862 PYQs.

Highest-weightage chapters
The 10 chapters we expect to carry the most questions, across all three subjects. Marks at stake are expected questions × 4 (the marks for a correct answer). Ties are broken by our High/Medium/Low rating, then by questions in the last five papers.

How these numbers are made
- Weightage and expected questions are estimates.Neither NMC nor NTA publishes chapter-wise weightage. The High/Medium/Low rating and the expected questions per paper are NEET MIND's own estimates for each chapter. The percentage is a chapter's expected questions as a share of its subject's total.
- The per-chapter estimates are whole numbers, so they do not add up to the exact size of each section (they total 58 for Physics, 41 for Chemistry, 97 for Biology). Use them to compare chapters, not as a forecast of the paper.
- Question counts are real. They come from our PYQ bank of 3,862 NEET and AIPMT questions from 2005 to 2026. Each question is counted under the chapter it is tagged to, matched to the current chapter names the same way as on our PYQ pages.
- 118 questions (25 from 2022–2026) are tagged to chapters outside the current syllabus list, such as Chemistry In Everyday Life, Environmental Chemistry, General Principles And Processes Of Isolation Of Elements, and are not counted here.
- Some older papers in our bank are incomplete, so treat the 2005–2026 totals as a floor. The last five papers are the better guide to the current syllabus.
